新宿區內發生了惡性連環犯罪事件——通稱【X-Day事件】，
身為警察的主人公就在這片危險的街道工作。
她為了新宿區的安全日夜奔走，
卻在某個晚上被不明人物襲擊，
一個內藏毒藥的項圈戴在了她的脖子上。
之後，幾個身分不明的男性出現在了
不知所措的主人公面前。
主人公得知，曾在警察組織中任職的他們
如今正在獨自追查惡性犯罪事件。
為了摘下讓自己徘徊在生死邊緣的項圈，
為了解放被囚禁在惡意中的新宿——
主人公開始參與他們的搜查——
究竟是誰掌握著她的生死？
新宿區又是否會迎來重生之日——
